Where We Supply and Service
Based in Toowoomba. Stock out to the Downs and the west, same day or overnight.
Donaldson’s is a Toowoomba business, and the depth of stock on the shelf is what makes the distance manageable. A motor that is in stock in Toowoomba this morning can be on a truck this afternoon and on site tomorrow, right across the Downs and well out past it.
If you are out of town and wondering whether Donaldson’s is worth the phone call, the short answer is yes. The sales team specifies equipment every day for people they cannot stand next to, and gets it out to them.

Home ground
Toowoomba and the Darling Downs
The shop is on McDougall Street in Wilsonton. For customers across the Downs it is close enough to drive in, collect a motor off the shelf, and be back on site the same day. That is the fastest option Donaldson’s offers, and for a breakdown it is often the right one.
The work here is agricultural and industrial: feedlots running roller mills, cotton gins, irrigation and pump stations, grain handling, feed milling, intensive livestock, manufacturing and processing plants, and the electricians and maintenance crews who keep all of it running. Electric motors, silenced and industrial generators, soft starters and variable speed drives, submersible pumps and portable units go out into all of it.

Same day or overnight
Stock out by transport, across the region
Distance is a logistics problem, not a reason to look elsewhere. Donaldson’s regularly gets stock out to these towns by transport, in the day or overnight.
Regular delivery towns

Stock to all of these towns in the day or overnight, and it goes out regularly.
Out here the operations get bigger and the power supply gets less reliable, which is where Donaldson’s does its most valuable work. Large agricultural stations, feedlots, cotton growing and ginning, cropping and irrigation. Backup power is the recurring theme. When mains supply is intermittent or simply not available, a silenced generator with an automatic transfer switch is what keeps cattle fed, product moving and a season’s work intact. Donaldson’s supplies, sizes and services that equipment out of Toowoomba.

Further afield
Beyond the regular runs
Some equipment goes a very long way. Donaldson’s has supplied the electric motors for cotton gins throughout the region and as far afield as Emerald and the Northern Territory, and specialised motors into power stations across the region.
Backup generators have gone out to large agricultural stations at Moree, Thargomindah, Quilpie, Mount Isa and Kununurra. Closer to home but no less demanding, Donaldson’s has supplied 400 and 500 kVA generators into feedlot operations across the Darling Downs and northern New South Wales, and generators up to 400 kVA into commercial premises in Toowoomba, including hotels.
The distance is not really the point. The point is that the equipment gets specified correctly the first time, because a motor that arrives at Mount Isa and does not fit is an expensive mistake, and a generator sized wrong is a worse one.

How it works from a distance
Ring first, and read out the nameplate
Most callers do not know the frame size, shaft size, pole count or starting method of the unit that has failed, and they do not need to. Read out what is on the nameplate, or send a photo of it. The sales team will work out what fits. That conversation is what stops the wrong motor being freighted halfway across the state.
Out on transport, or collect
Stock in Toowoomba is deep, so most orders go straight out of the shop and onto transport, in the day or overnight. When something is not on the shelf, Donaldson’s arranges priority freight out of Brisbane, or sets you up to collect direct from the warehouse the same day if that gets you running faster.
A breakdown is a breakdown, wherever it is
Donaldson’s has opened the shop on a Sunday morning to hand over a motor so a feedlot could feed its cattle that night. Distance does not change how a breakdown gets handled. It changes the logistics, and the logistics are Donaldson’s problem to solve.
Not sure if you are in range?
Ring and ask. If Donaldson’s cannot get it to you, someone will tell you straight.
